This Cookie Policy explains how Simtec Consult Ltd uses cookies and similar browser storage in SIMTRACA.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can remember settings within your browser.
Some cookies are essential for a service to work securely. Others may be used for analytics, advertising, or personalisation.
2. What we use
SIMTRACA currently uses only essential authentication cookies and limited functional storage. We do not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, or analytics cookies.

Cookie names may include a secure prefix in production. The purpose remains the same.
3. Why no consent banner appears
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) allow cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user without prior consent.
The functional preference storage listed above does not track users across websites, create advertising profiles, or measure marketing activity. We disclose it here so you can make an informed choice.
Because SIMTRACA does not currently set non-essential analytics or marketing cookies, we do not show a cookie consent banner.
4. Stripe and third-party websites
If an authorised user chooses to start or manage a paid subscription, they may be redirected to Stripe. Stripe may set cookies on its own website to provide payment and fraud-prevention services. Stripe controls those cookies under its own privacy and cookie information.
Links to DEFRA, the Environment Agency, the Information Commissioner's Office, or other external websites may also lead to services with their own cookie practices.
5. Managing storage
You can use browser settings to view, delete, or block cookies and local storage.
Blocking essential authentication cookies will prevent sign-in and other secure account features from working. Clearing functional storage may reset the sidebar or theme preference but will not delete your account or operational records.
6. Future changes
If we introduce analytics, advertising, or another non-essential technology that requires consent, we will:
- update this policy;
- ask for consent before setting that technology where required; and
- provide controls to accept, reject, or change non-essential preferences.
